The main building services in the construction industry affected by energy assessment of existing properties which include conversions, extensions and for material change of use, are:

  • For Local Authorities - all rented dwellings stock and affordable energy measures.

  • In addition, Housing Associations (RSLs) Registered Social Landlords - compliance with Housing Corporations Scheme Development Standards for both new and existing dwellings.

  • Private Landlords by identifying improvement options and assisting with access grants.

Authorised Domestic Energy Assessors are available to calculate energy ratings for these buildings in most cases.
